Books To Be Read this November...

November has the chilly rainy fall days that I love! I live for this season. With a pumpkin scone and iced chai tea in hand... let's dive into my line up of November reads.  This months selections are steeped in magic, romance, and characters to love.

In no particular order here are the books I can’t wait to read this month!

The Awakening - Zodiac Academy #1

This is our Fable Book Club pick of the month.  New adult romantasy novel is described as fast paced, filled with mythological creatures, bully romance, and spice.

Zodiac Academy follows the story of twin sisters who are whisked off to a magical college, where they will need to prove themselves and discover the full potential of their magic.  Best suited for readers 16+.

If you would like to read it with us… please join in. Each month we choose a book to read together in our book club.

Court - Crave Series Book 4

All fall I have been reading the Crave Series. This series is absolutely perfect for fans of the vampire diaries.

My next book will be Court - this is the fourth installment of the Crave series. I am also hoping to get to book five, Charmed. Charmed is one of my most anticipated reads of the year and I am so close to getting to it!

Young Adult Romantasy. I would say it has the same amount of spice as the Twilight series, with similar themes and tropes.

Flock - Book 1 of Ravenhood Series

Not a day goes by where I am not asked if I have read the Ravenhood series. I am happy to announce that this is the month!

Flock is a New Adult Why Choose Romance series. I have heard nothing but 5 star reviews for this book. And am choosing to go into this book blind. I have not read the description, GoodReads reviews, nothing.

If I enjoy this book, I will most likely continue on with the series in November and complete all 3 books.

Never Lie

Is it still considered spooky season if it's November? I think, yes! Never Lie is my Mom's favorite Freida McFadden book and she has read them all. This also has had stellar reviews on Goodreads and BookTok.

Never Lie follows a couple that is house hunting and thinks they have found their perfect home.... but what if it's not as perfect as it appears to be.

Freida McFadden is the current Queen of Thrillers. I have read The Housemaid and absolutely loved it. Looking forward to reading another book of hers.

Bloodguard

I added this book to my GoodReads Want to Read section, ages ago and the book has finally released! This is one of my most anticipated new releases of 2024.

Gladiator Adult Romantasy. Say less!

This story follows a man that is trying to save his younger sister, and in order to make some money he signs up as a Gladiator... but things go awry. What was supposed to be a way to make some quick cash, becomes a battle for his life.

This is supposed to a dark, thrilling, spicy, at times maybe a little bloody. Listed as being perfect for fans of Fourth Wing!

One Dark Window

I started reading One Dark Window at the end of October and have not finished it yet. I am really enjoying this story so far. It is so unique in the world building and plot, I don't have another series to compare it to.

If you are looking for a dark fantasy, look no further than this duology. It is so atmospheric and gritty.

Love the magic system so far. I do plan to read the next book in the duology this month as well, Two Twisted Crowns.

If you choose to purchase this book I would highly recommend the Barnes and Noble special editions! They are simply WOW.

Assistant to the Villain

My friend Elise, added this book to my TBR. She highly recommended it as a funny light hearted read to balance out my month.

This Young Adult Fantasy story follows a young girl that is in need of money, and lands a job as an assistant to the town villain.

I am reading this on Kindle Unlimited. I have heard really good reviews and it has high marks on GoodReads. There is a second book in the series that is out, and if I like this one, I will be putting the next book on my December TBR.

The Serpent and the Wings of Night

New Adult Vampire Romantasy. Sign me up! My friend Brooke is reading this for her book club, and I am very excited to be reading this with her in November.

This series is so popular and has top tier reviews. The next book in the series came out this month. If I decide to continue on with the series, I will be reading them in December.

I am going into this book completely blind. The only things I know are it has some spice, features vampires, and has incredible world building and characters.

Lightlark - Book 1 Lightlark Trilogy

Young Adult Romantasy that everyone is talking about. Lightlark features magical trials, which is one of my favorite tropes in books. Give me a competition and someone to root for!

Six realms are fighting to break their curses and only have 100 days to win.

This is a completed trilogy, so if I end up loving this first book I will be adding the others to my December TBR.

Have you read any of these?  Let’s hang out and discuss on BookTok.  All my social links are below.

Don’t forget to join our book club, if you would like to read Zodiac Academy along with us! 😊
